Monthly performance snapshot — GA4 traffic & Search Console visibility for acmchem.com.
Live data — GA4 & Search Console, September 2026GA4 traffic (KPIs 1, 2, 4, 6) still excludes China and Singapore, same as August — so those numbers are compared month-over-month below. Search Console's export had no country filter applied this time (confirmed from its Filters tab — worldwide, not US-only like August). Since China and Singapore contributed zero clicks this month, I manually subtracted their impressions from the Search Console total so KPIs 3 and 5 match GA4's exclusion — the rest of the world (India, Canada, UK, etc.) is still included, so this is worldwide-minus-two-countries, not US-only. Worth deciding whether to standardize Search Console's scope (US-only or worldwide) going forward so this doesn't keep shifting month to month.
The headline number: how many people showed up, and whether that's growing month over month. Both users and sessions dipped slightly from August — 1,023 users (▼3.9%) and 1,398 sessions (▼2.8%). This is now the second month of comparable GA4 data (same China/Singapore exclusion both months), so this is a real trend read, not just a snapshot.
ACM's content splits into two audiences: people evaluating products and people building knowledge (Concrete 101, ACM Academy, blog, webinars). Education pulled ahead this month — 741 views to Product's 631 — a reversal from August, when Product led 1,025 to 650.
Homepage, About, and Contact excluded from this split since they're neither product nor education content. Among the rest: Education edges ahead this month, 741 views to Product's 631 — flipped from August's Product-led split. Worth watching whether this is a real seasonal shift (more research-stage visitors) or just one strong month for the Resource Library and ACM Academy pages specifically.
Total site-wide GA4 page views for September is 5,737, while the top 10 pages shown here sum to 3,824. Same expected gap as August — the other ~140 lower-traffic pages not making the top 10 cut, consistent with how Search Console's query list works (KPI 3). Not an error.
"acm chemistries" leading the list is expected — that's brand-name search. The more useful read is queries #2–10: are people finding ACM through topic and product searches (new audience) or just re-finding a site they already know (branded)? Worldwide this month — no country filter was applied, unlike August's US-only pull, so this isn't a clean comparison to last month's branded/non-branded split.
7 of the top 10 rows are branded this month (135 of the 145 clicks these 10 rows account for) — similar branded dominance to August, though worth remembering this pull is worldwide, not US-only, so it's a different population than last month's list. "efflorescence" is worsening as a click opportunity, not improving: the query itself now gets 3 clicks on 8,814 impressions (0.03% CTR — down from August's 0.12%). But the efflorescence page keeps climbing in aggregate — 28 search clicks this month on 15,954 impressions, up from 17 clicks in August. The gap between "ranks well, barely gets clicked" and "page is quietly becoming a real traffic source anyway" keeps widening — the title/snippet rewrite flagged in prior reports is worth prioritizing.
This top-10 list totals 145 clicks. Search Console's full query export (1,000 rows) sums to only 169 clicks total, against 422 site-wide clicks for the month — the same long-tail/anonymization gap explained in prior reports. Not an error, just how Search Console reports low-volume queries.
Where sessions originate, September 2026. GA4's AI Assistant channel (added May 2026) separates out clicks from ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and similar tools from the generic Referral bucket — it's broken out below. Note: no Organic Video sessions were logged this month, unlike August.
AI Assistant traffic continues to hold above the "well under 1%" industry baseline: 23 sessions in September, roughly 1.6% of the month's sessions — consistent with August's 1.5% and July's 1.6%. Three months running at roughly the same rate now — this looks like a stable floor for ACM rather than a one-off, worth keeping in the report as a steady (if small) channel rather than a wait-and-see item.
Clicks and impressions together show whether ACM is showing up more in search results, even before someone clicks through. September: 422 clicks, 42,197 impressions with China and Singapore excluded. Note on methodology: this Search Console pull had no country filter applied in Search Console itself (confirmed from the export's Filters tab — only "Web" and the date range were set, and the Countries tab lists 186 countries including China and Singapore). Since neither contributed any clicks, I subtracted their impressions (103 + 173 = 276) from the raw worldwide total (42,473) to match GA4's exclusion — clicks are unaffected either way. The rest of the world's traffic (India, Canada, UK, etc.) is still included, so this isn't the same as a US-only pull like August's — it's worldwide minus just those two countries. The chart below shows the daily shape across September using the unadjusted worldwide daily data, since a day-by-day country breakdown wasn't available to subtract from.
A quality check, not a headline metric: are visitors actually reading once they land? September engagement rate is 90.1% (down from August's 91.2%) with an average of 0:33 per session (down from 0:50). Both metrics softened alongside the traffic dip in KPI 1 — directionally consistent, not contradictory.
Aug for comparison: 91.2% engagement rate, 0:50 avg. time.
Beyond traffic and visibility: the upkeep that keeps acmchem.com fast, secure, and functioning — WordPress core, plugins, broken links, and uptime.
| September 2026 | |
|---|---|
| WordPress Core Updates | 1 update — v7.1 → 7.1.2 |
| WordPress Plugin Updates | 16 updates, 10 plugins |
| Uptime | 99.97% (last 30 days) |
| Broken Links | 0 found |
Clean across the board this month. The Simple History export came through (no longer paywalled), so core and plugin updates are real data — 1 routine core update (7.1 → 7.1.2) and 16 plugin updates across 10 distinct plugins, including Simple History itself updating. ManageWP confirms 99.97% uptime over the last 30 days and zero broken links — essentially the same clean result as August (100% / 0), with the uptime figure reflecting a brief, minor blip rather than any sustained outage.
Plugins updated in September: Yoast SEO (×3), Simple History (×3), Gravity Forms (×2), WP Media Categories (×2), OxyExtras, Oxygen, WP File Manager, Redirection, Advanced Custom Fields, Disable Comments.
Source: WordPress activity log export (plugin/core updates), ManageWP uptime monitor, ManageWP broken-link check.
Geography: GA4 figures (KPIs 1, 2, 4, 6) have China and Singapore filtered out, same as August. Search Console's export itself was not country-filtered this time (confirmed from its Filters tab — 186 countries appear in the raw Countries data, including China and Singapore). Since both contributed zero clicks in September, I manually subtracted their impressions (103 + 173 = 276) from the Search Console total to match GA4's China/Singapore exclusion — the Search Console figures in this report (422 clicks, 42,197 impressions) reflect worldwide traffic minus those two countries, not a US-only pull like August. Top Queries (KPI 3) couldn't be adjusted the same way since Search Console's query export has no per-country breakdown — though since China/Singapore drove zero clicks, the query list itself is unaffected either way.
Website Care: All four rows are real data this month. Simple History was accessible, so core/plugin updates are confirmed. ManageWP confirms 99.97% uptime over the last 30 days and 0 broken links — both came in after the report's first pass, so this version reflects the update.
